Since 2016
Our story
Hidden Garden is built around one idea: a hidden, magical garden where music, people and nature come together. It began in 2016 with the opening of the hidden courtyard garden of Grand Café Berlage, grew into a yearly returning festival and has also had Indoor editions at the Klokgebouw since December 2025. This is our story, year by year. Without the Garden Family, there would be no garden.

20 August 2016
The beginning: a hidden courtyard
It began on Saturday 20 August 2016, in the heart of Eindhoven. La Fête 040 took its night concept Ensuite outdoors for the first time, to the tucked-away courtyard garden of Grand Café Berlage in the Bergen district. Under the name "Ensuite presents: The Hidden Garden" people danced from one in the afternoon until midnight, with a barbecue and cocktails. Behind the decks were Guy J sets, Mees Dierdorp sets and STVN b2b Ivo Foreal sets, among others.

2017
The official start
On 19 August 2017 we held our first real festival, in the Philips de Jongh Wandelpark in Eindhoven, with Reinier Zonneveld sets, Nick Curly sets, Guy Mantzur sets and Eelke Kleijn sets among others.

2018
Year two, bigger names
On 18 August 2018, Darren Emerson sets, Dave Seaman sets, Danny Howells sets and Michel de Hey sets, among others, played the garden, again in the Philips de Jongh Wandelpark.

2019
Saturday 17 August
In 2019 Thomas Schumacher sets, Matthias Tanzmann sets, Technasia sets and Eelke Kleijn sets b2b Miss Melera sets played, next to the familiar faces from the very first editions. It was our last edition in the Philips de Jongh Wandelpark.

2020 and 2021
A quiet pause
Two years of Covid: there was no edition in those years. We came back in 2022.

2022
Back in the garden
On 20 August 2022 we were back, with Nic Fanciulli sets, Marco Bailey sets and Karotte sets among others.

2023
A pre-party first, then the festival
On 26 August 2023 Bart Skils sets, Eelke Kleijn sets and Matthias Tanzmann sets, among others, played the garden. We had already kicked off on 14 July with a pre-party, with Michel de Hey sets among others.

Saturday 27 July
On 27 July, Todd Terry sets, Bart Skils sets and Ferreck Dawn sets were among those playing.

Saturday 30 August
On 30 August 2025 the line-up included Nick Warren sets, Ferreck Dawn sets and Vince Watson sets.

Hidden Garden presents Sven Väth
Our first Indoor edition, at the Klokgebouw, with Sven Väth sets, André Galluzzi sets and Michel de Hey sets.

Ten years of Hidden Garden
On 29 August 2026 we celebrated our 10th anniversary at the IJzeren Man, with Marco V sets, Junior Jack sets, Ben Gold sets, Danny Howells sets and Budakid sets b2b Miss Melera sets among others.

Indoor at the Klokgebouw
On 19 December 2026 we return to the Klokgebouw, with Joris Voorn sets and Bart Skils sets; Remy Unger sets opens.

Looking ahead
On Saturday 28 August 2027 we open the garden again, at the IJzeren Man.
